Paros Airport (PAS) is near Alyki, about 10 km south of Parikia.
Island Highlights
Parikia to Naoussa (12 km, 15 min)
Cross the island to Paros's most photogenic village. Wander the harbour, swim at Piperi beach, take a boat to Kolymbithres. Evening waterfront fills with restaurants and cocktail bars. The scooter ride through vineyards and whitewashed villages is pure Cycladic joy.
Mountain Village of Lefkes (10 km)
Drive inland to Lefkes, a marble-paved mountain village. The Byzantine Route hiking trail starts here. Continue east to Piso Livadi for seafood tavernas and boats to Naxos.
Southern Loop: Alyki and Antiparos (20 km)
Head south to Alyki fishing village for traditional tavernas on the harbour. From Pounta, a 10-minute ferry crosses to Antiparos — famous cave, relaxed beaches. Take your vehicle across.
Beaches and Windsurfing
Golden Beach — World-renowned windsurfing. Strong meltemi winds, international competitions.
Kolymbithres — Unusual rock formations creating sheltered pools. North coast.
Santa Maria — Two sandy bays with beach bars and watersports.
Farangas — Quiet southern beach, clear water, rarely crowded.
Alyki — Harbour village with tavernas on sand. Calm, family-friendly.
Best Time to Visit
July-August — liveliest, packed Naoussa. Meltemi winds = windsurfing paradise.
